Growing Into Heaven Through Wishes
A man lives alone in a grey house, going about his daily grey routine.
One day, it is no longer enough for him to simply be a man. And slowly, the desire to become a flower grows within him. In his imagination, he stands in a meadow and opens his sepals to the sun. The wind rocks him, and bumblebees and butterflies swarm around his vibrant petals. In increasingly vivid dreams, he transforms into a yellow buttercup and a silky-soft poppy, he becomes a large garden, lime blossom high up in the treetops, and a solitary blue mountain flower. As he dreams, the little grey man grows ever more self-assured and finally manages to bring the colours of the flowers into his life.
‘The Man Who Wanted to Be a Flower’ is a story about the power of wishes and the possibility of becoming whoever you want to be.
