In his unfinished last novel “Pictures Of Your True Love” Wolfgang Herrndorf tells the story of Isa, an outsider who roams the country. Her experiences with people are mysterious and dark. She meets real people and those who exist only in her head. Two of them are from another novel by Herrndorf, Maik and Tschick, whom she meets at a rubbish dump and who are travelling through a very strange Germany in a stolen car. With Isa we experience a journey, as if we were in a feverish dream, full of strength and anger, but also full of poetry and love, which this headstrong girl carries within her.
